Welcome to BSR Groningen

A gentle way to release tension and support your body's natural ability to recover

Are you living with ongoing pain, tension or discomfort? Perhaps you have a stiff back, recurring headaches, tight shoulders or simply feel that your body is struggling to relax.

Physical, emotional and chemical stresses can all contribute to tension building up in the body. Body Stress Release (BSR) is a gentle technique that helps the body release this stored tension.

Do you suffer from the following?

This is where Body Stress Release (BSR) can help

Body Stress Release is a gentle, hands-on technique designed to help the body release stored muscular tension.

During a session, I use a series of gentle tests to locate areas of tension in the body, followed by precise, light impulses that encourage the muscles to release.

There is no massage, manipulation, forceful adjustment or medication involved.

At BSR Groningen, I provide a calm and supportive space to help your body release what has been holding it back. Whether you’re dealing with long-term pain, tension, or simply feel out of sync, BSR can help you reconnect with your body’s natural ease, energy, and resilience.

It’s a safe, natural, and effective way to reset and recover.

Meet Cheryl

Hi, I'm Cheryl Brennon.

I've been practising Body Stress Release since 2014, first in South Africa and now in the Netherlands. My approach is gentle, calm and personal, with time to listen to what's been happening in your body and what has brought you to BSR.

I am a registered BSR practitioner with BSRAN and CAT and hold MBK certification according to PLATO standards.

Sessions are conducted in English, and you're very welcome to speak Dutch; I understand Dutch.

  • "A friend recommended BSR to me to help with my painful ankle that never fully recovered from an operation. My skepticism was immediately challenged and then eventually overcome by BSR's undeniable effect on my ankle and overall body. I can't tell you how it works, but it definitely does. It alleviated my pain.”
